JOE "HEDGEHOG" RIVERA

I was the original emergency backup goalie (E-BUG) for the Philadelphia Phantoms in 1997 and has been repairing my own goalie gear since 1991. My professional experience includes working in the pro shop located at the Flyers’ practice facility, where I was taught the fundamentals of sewing, relacing, and repairing goalie equipment. I also served as an assistant equipment manager for the Philadelphia Phantoms .

Over the past several decades, I have continued fixing, restoring, and working on goalie gear for countless players, coaches, and organizations, including long-standing involvement with the Philadelphia Flyers Alumni Camp and the Philadelphia Warriors. My hands-on experience and attention to detail are the foundation of Twine & Leather Goalie Repair.
